Transmissions From Beyond

Receiving our podcast is easy. There are two ways to do this. One is from our website. The other is to subcribe to our podcast feed. Subscribing doesn’t cost anything.

 

Let’s take a look at receiving our podcast from the website first. If you go to one of our podcast transmissions at our website (click on the home page button to see them), you’ll see something that looks like this near the end of each entry.

If you click on the blue triangle shape, the podcast will immediately start to buffer and you will be able to listen online immediately without downloading any special software. If you need to “rewind” you can move the green rectangular slider to the desired location.

You can also download the podcast transmission that you want by right clicking on the word “Download”, then clicking on “Save Target As…” to download that Transmission on to your computer’s hard drive for future playback, which might include playing the mp3 file with software like QuickTime Player or Windows Media Player or copying the file to an mp3 player to be enjoyed later.

The upside of visiting our site is that you’ll have easy access to our forum, links to related websites, and other information. The downside is that you’ll have to remember to return for each new podcast.

 
That brings us to the second way to receive our transmissions. You can use podcatching software which will remember your different subscribed podcast site feeds for you. You won’t have to worry about the different podcaster schedules since new podcasts will automatically become available in your podcatching software.

The most popular software for this is itunes.  If you have iTunes installed already, just click here:    It may take a moment for iTunes to launch. When you see the page with our podcast logo, just click on the SUBSCRIBE button just to the right of our logo and the word “Free”. Alternatively, you can go to the Advanced menu in iTunes, choose “Subscribe to Podcast”, then copy & paste our feed URL into the dialog box that opens.
